Thesis Work
In my vision of housing for the 21st century Lithuania, human scale and pedestrian circulation has the priority which dominates throughout the neighborhood connecting housing, schools,
transportation and shopping nodes. Building expression through wood construction will celebrate human integrity with nature which was greatly celebrated in Lithuanian folklore.
Velodrome
A 3000 seat velodrome located next to Walt whitman bridge in Philadelphia. suspended structure mimics adjacent bridge and the design was inspired by the tensile structures of Santiago Calatrava.
Highrise in New York
A skyscraper on the east side of Manhattan. A monolithic concrete structure with commercial component at the base, hotel component on the top and office component in the middle. The varying orientation of building blocks takes the maximum advantage of the views towards the river and Brooklyn bridge.
Drexel Fields Recreation Center
Public recreation center located in Drexel fields as a part of Lancaster corridor redevelopment plan. The center includes athletic facilities as well as facilities for community use in order to bring together local community and Drexel University students who have a great presence in the area.
Lancaster Avenue Corridor Redevelopment
Revitalization of Lancaster avenue corridor that connects to Drexel campus. A two mile stretch of Lancaster avenue and adjacent neighborhoods was chosen to develop a new master plan with nodes of residential commercial and office use to reconnect the avenue to Drexel campus and the city.
Co-housing in West Philadelphia
Community of apartments clustered around shared green space.
Apartments in Haverford
Haverford college faculty residences. A new apartment complex was designed in the existing college park, trying to maximize the exposure to natural light, ventilation and having the least possible impact on the surrounding park.
